There is Nothing Fair About Socialism

If you have listened to President Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez (how sad is it that you can group those people together), or any other Socialist speak for any length of time, you have heard them extoll the virtues of socialism, whether they call it that or not. The most common of these virtues is that socialism is fair. Or, here is another, socialism levels the playing field. Those claims are not only untrue, but they are the opposite of the truth, they are an out and out lie. Liberal talk show host Ed Schultz said today that the fact that liberal talk shows can not support themselves, and are therefor vastly outnumbered by conservative shows, is "not fair". He went on to say that the government should step in and institute what he calls the fairness doctrine. That proposed law would make radio stations run one minute of liberal programing for every minute of conservative programming, whether they liked it or not. Did I miss the actual definition of the word fair? Another great one I heard today was from Mr. Fairness himself (note the sarcasm, he has been in trouble numerous times for taking bribes to give his associates government jobs without letting others bid), Harry Reid. Reid said that the new healthcare bill was actually a Bill of Rights, placing everyone on the same playing field for once. Actually Harry, that is not all together true. For one, everyone is not covered by the new bill, all congressmen and women are exempt from the bill....why is that? So, by being exempt, they are actually getting special treatment, isn't that unfair? Or how about this one, 80 plus percent of us will see the quality of our coverage go down, and we will pay more, while the other 20 percent will get the exact same coverage we receive, but they will pay nothing. Again, does that seem fair? Socialism is a system that rewards mediocrity, or downright laziness, and it punishes overachievers and hard workers...fair? The end result, as it has always been, will be a rich government class, and a poor citizenry. That is why we must stand up and refuse to allow this hostile takeover of our rights, freedoms, and our country. Fair, I really do not see who this system is fair for, unless by fair they actually mean slanted completely in the favor of those creating the policy, and to me, that is not only unfair, it is evil.
